Fitness and its Actual Meaning
Fitness:-
Fitness doesn’t mean to lose weight or to gain weight; fitness is a state of body and mind where everything is healthy and working perfectly. Popularly known as “physical fitness” basically state of health and well being with help of proper nutrition and physical exercise.
Fitness in relation to weight:-
Usually, to get the perfect weight for the human, we conduct a BMI (Body Mass Index) test to calculate the actual weight they must be having according to their height and other factors. Being fat or thin is quite normal but extreme thin or obesity are diseases and unfit. In this article, we will discuss losing weight and what is fat? I mean how can fat be such a problem or how is it produced? And ways to solve the fat issue.
Fat:-
According to the basic definition, “fat is one of the main macronutrients, along with carbohydrates and protein. It is an important foodstuff and they serve both structural and metabolic functions for all heterotrophic beings, which includes humans as well.” Fats serve both as energy and emergency stock of the energy in need of it. Fats broke in the healthy body and release their constituents, glycerol and fatty acids etc.
Also that numerous studies all over the world have proven that Trans fat increase risk of cardiovascular disease and other diseases.
Metabolic issues and obesity:-
Metabolism is a regulatory system which regulates the conversion of food into energy; fast metabolism results in thin people and vice versa. Obesity is a result slow metabolism, which stores a lot of fat and hence the food does not convert completely to energy but fat.
The fat present under our skin is not the main problem, but the fat present in our belly, abdominal cavity, that’s the issue. If one has a lot of belly fat then that will not be considered as healthy and hence some measures must be taken. To be specific, above then 35 inches in women and 40 inches in men, is considered as abdominal obesity.
Ways to reduce weight:-
1. Avoid sugar as much as you can –
Sugaraffects the metabolic health of a person; sugar contains half fructose and half glucose. This fructose is responsible for belly fat because a lot of refined sugar will overload the liver with fructose and hence belly fat, it also increases liver fat which may increase troubles with liver and insulin resistance may occur. Avoid sugary beverages like soft drinks.
2. Having a heavy protein diet for a long run –
Proteinsplay the most important role in reducing fat, protein increases your metabolism and decreases cravings by 60%. Protein reduces the fat by a huge margin and if you are willing to reduce weight then you must add protein to your diet plan. High protein foods like eggs, chicken, fish, seafood, nuts, meat and some whole grain.Hence protein is effective against belly fat accumulation.
3. Avoid carbohydrates –
Carbohydrates contain a lot of calories and hence if you reduce it, you will reduce weight, that’s what a lot of studies say, it has been observed that low carbohydrates diet has resulted in a more effective way then low-fat diets. Another way which is suggested is that reduce carbohydrates by 50 grams per day, which will result in killing your appetite and making your body start burning primarily fats for fuel.
4. Eat foods rich in viscous fiber -
Fiber makes your digestive system better; people say eating plenty of fiber will help you in reducing weight, but not all fibers help in reducing weight like the ones who actually help are known as viscous fibers. They form a thick gel when they bind with water and sits in the gut. It slows down the digestion process and therefore it reduces the appetite.
5. Exercise –
The most important thing is physical exercise; best way to live a happy and healthy life, exercise is amust. Aerobic exercises like walking; running and cycling etc. have shown major effects in reducing weight. Specifically, abdominal exercises will not bring major belly reductions; there should be all types of exercises. While exercise will provide other health benefits as well. And will help you remain healthy.
Hence, remain healthy, have a proper diet and do exercises regularly. Be fit.
